Insurance Code § 1131.353

Sec. 1131.353. AMOUNTS OF INSURANCE. (a) The amounts of insurance under the policy must be based on a plan that precludes individual selection by the insured employees or by the policyholder. (b) Group term life insurance on the life of an employee's spouse may not exceed the lesser of: (1) $10,000; or (2) one-half of the amount of insurance on the life of the insured employee under the group policy. (c) Group term life insurance on the life of an employee's minor child may not exceed $2,000. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 2, eff. June 1, 2003.
