Estates Code § 501.006

An executor in a foreign will admitted to ancillary probate in Texas may receive ancillary letters testamentary if the court is satisfied the executor is qualified, not disqualified in Texas, and—when the will is admitted after the fourth anniversary of the testator’s death—still serves in that foreign jurisdiction.
