Water Code § 57.343
If the district is dissolved, the commissioners court must settle the district’s debts. The commissioners court may also levy, assess, and collect tax to pay valid debts, except purchaser-held bonds. The district must pay qualifying bonds unless they are retired under Section 57.344.
