Occupations Code § 801.301

Sec. 801.301. LICENSE TERM AND RENEWAL. (a) The board shall provide: (1) that each type of license under this chapter is valid for a term of one year or two years; and (2) for the renewal of a license. (b) The board by rule may adopt a system under which licenses expire on various dates during the year. (c) For a year in which the license expiration date is changed, the board shall prorate license fees on a monthly basis so that each license holder pays only that portion of the fee that is allocable to the number of months during which the license is valid. On renewal of the license on the new expiration date, the total license renewal fee is payable. Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1999.
