Finance Code § 342.004
The maximum interest rate is 10% a year, unless another law sets a different limit. Loans at 10% a year or less are not subject to this chapter, and certain Section 302.001(d) loans may charge delinquency fees under that section without being subject to this chapter or the subtitle.
