Health and Safety Code § 593.022

Sec. 593.022. ADMISSION TO VOLUNTARY INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY SERVICES. (a) An eligible person who applies for intellectual disability services may be admitted as soon as appropriate services are available. (b) The department facility or community center shall develop a plan for appropriate programs or placement in programs or facilities approved or operated by the department. (c) The programs or placement must be suited to the needs of the proposed client and consistent with the rights guaranteed by Chapter 592. (d) The proposed client, the parent if the client is a minor, and the client's guardian shall be encouraged and permitted to participate in the development of the planned programs or placement.
