Family Code § 65.153
A child may have counsel on appeal. If the child and parent, guardian, or guardian ad litem request an appeal, the child’s prior truancy-court attorney, if any, must file a notice of appeal and say whether they will handle the appeal. An appeal vacates the truancy court’s order.
