Water Code § 61.029

Sec. 61.029. HEARING BY BOARD. (a) If the proposed district includes all or part of a city acting under special charter granted by the legislature, the hearing shall be held at the regular meeting place of the commissioners court before a board. (b) The board shall include the county judge and the members of the commissioners court and the mayor and the aldermen or commissioners of the city or cities. (c) The board shall pass on the petition with each individual member having one vote. (d) A majority in number of the persons composing the board shall constitute a quorum, and the action of the quorum shall control. (e) The hearing shall be held and notice shall be given as provided in Sections 61.027-61.028 of this code. (f) The clerk shall record the proceedings of the board in the book kept for that purpose, and this record shall be available for public inspection. Acts 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 110, ch. 58, Sec. 1, eff.
