(b) The board may: (1) acquire by lease, purchase, or lease to purchase property, including facilities, supplies, and equipment, for the district for use in the hospital system and ancillary health care system; and (2) mortgage or pledge the property as security for the payment of the purchase price. (c) The board may lease, sell, or otherwise dispose of all or part of the district's property for the district, including facilities, supplies, or equipment, to a public or private entity, but only to the extent necessary to maintain an adequate hospital system for the residents of Hopkins County.
