Special District Local Laws Code § 8511.0307

Sec. 8511.0307. GROUNDWATER. (a) The authority may conduct surveys and studies of the groundwater supplies in the authority to: (1) determine the location and quantity of groundwater available for irrigation and other purposes; and (2) develop and ascertain other information that in the authority's judgment may be necessary to fully develop irrigation and other water uses from the groundwater in the authority. (b) With the approval and under the supervision of the commission, the authority may appropriate storm water and floodwater to recharge underground freshwater-bearing sand and aquifers in the Nueces River Basin. (c) The authority shall cooperate with the Edwards Aquifer Authority, or its lawful successor, and any other groundwater conservation district inside the authority's boundaries in any groundwater recharge project in an area where a groundwater conservation district has jurisdiction.
