This section says the chapter does not apply to several kinds of limited or specified insurance coverage, including certain disease-specific plans, accidental death or dismemberment coverage, some wage-replacement coverage, liability insurance supplements, hospital confinement indemnity, standard health benefit plans under Chapter 1507, workers’ compensation policies, motor vehicle medical payment coverage, and some long-term care policies unless the commissioner finds them comprehensive enough to count as health benefit plans.
