Natural Resources Code § 61.026

Sec. 61.026. BEACH ACCESS PUBLIC AWARENESS AND EDUCATION. (a) The land office in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation shall design and produce a uniform bilingual beach access sign to be used by local governments to designate access ways to and from public beaches. (b) The land office may develop and distribute public information about the requirements of this chapter, the importance of natural beach and dune systems, and the necessity for preserving them. Such information may include public service announcements made under the direction of the land office. (c) The Texas A&M University Sea Grant Program shall make available to public schools materials for natural science classes which explain the importance of natural beach and dune systems and the necessity of preserving them.
