Agriculture Code § 201.108

Sec. 201.108. ASSUMPTION OF GOVERNMENT PROJECTS; ACCEPTANCE OF GOVERNMENT GRANTS. (a) A conservation district may take over, by purchase, lease, or other method, and administer any soil conservation, erosion control, or erosion prevention project located within its boundaries and undertaken by the federal government, the state, or a state or federal agency. (b) A conservation district may act as agent for the federal government, the state, or a state or federal agency in: (1) managing a soil conservation, erosion control, or erosion prevention project within the boundaries of the conservation district; or (2) acquiring, constructing, operating, or administering a soil conservation, erosion control, or erosion prevention project within the boundaries of the conservation district. (c) A conservation district may accept a donation, gift, or contribution in money, materials, services, or other form from the federal government, the state, or a state or federal agency and use and expend the donation, gift, or contribution in carrying out its operations.
