About this statute
The endowment fund is made up of the general reserves account and other needed accounts. The retirement system must credit or charge certain allocated amounts to the general reserves account, and the board of trustees must provide the amount needed for next year’s estimated operating expenses by December 31. The board may also move any amount from the endowment fund to another pension trust account or fund, but some reserve allocations need board resolution authorization.
