Family Code § 107.023

In certain non-governmental child custody suits, the court must set and order payment of reasonable and necessary fees and expenses for appointed amicus attorneys, attorneys ad litem, and qualifying guardians ad litem; it may not charge those amounts to the state or related public bodies.
