Transportation Code § 548.302

Sec. 548.302. COMMISSION TO ADOPT STANDARDS AND REQUIREMENTS. The commission shall: (1) adopt standards for emissions-related inspection criteria consistent with requirements of the United States and the environmental commission applicable to a county in which a program is established under this subchapter; and (2) develop and impose requirements necessary to ensure that a passing vehicle inspection report is not issued to a vehicle subject to a program established under this subchapter and that information stating that a vehicle has passed an inspection is not submitted to the department's database unless the vehicle has passed a motor vehicle emissions inspection at a facility authorized and certified by the department.
