Finance Code § 347.253
If insurance money held by a creditor is too much, the creditor must refund or credit the excess at the consumer’s choice. If it is too little, the consumer must pay the deficiency within 30 days after notice. If the consumer does not pay for required insurance, the creditor may handle the deficiency under Section 347.
