Water Code § 55.110

Sec. 55.110. ADDITIONAL BONDS. (a) If a district is appointed fiscal agent of the United States or is authorized to collect money for and in behalf of the United States in connection with any federal reclamation project, the assessor and collector and each director shall execute an additional bond in an amount set by the secretary of the interior, conditioned on the faithful performance of the duties of his office and the faithful performance by the district of its duties as fiscal or other agent of the United States. (b) The additional bonds shall be approved, recorded, and filed as provided for other official bonds. The additional bonds may be sued on by the United States or by any person injured by failure of the officer or the district to perform fully, promptly, and completely the required duties.
