Occupations Code § 1954.401
The commissioner may ask the attorney general or local prosecuting attorney to sue for an injunction, a civil penalty, or both, against certain violators. A civil penalty cannot exceed $10,000 per day for each violation, and the court must consider listed factors when setting the amount.
