About this statute
This section gives the Act its short title: the Cotton Act. The Minister may make statutory regulations about cotton diseases, cotton seed imports, and protection and control of the cotton industry, and may extend them to all or part of Zambia. Regulations may set penalties for breach, attempted breach, or non-observance, including up to three months’ imprisonment, a fine of 750 penalty units, or both.
