About this statute
This Act may be cited as the Plumage Birds Protection Act. This section defines “Director” and “plumage” for the Act, unless the context otherwise requires. This provision bans exporting or selling plumage of wild birds in Zambia, with limited exceptions. The Director may exclude any wild bird from this Act by statutory notice. The Director may issue a written permit allowing the sale or export of wild bird plumage for scientific or educational purposes if satisfied of that purpose.
