About this statute
This section says the Act may be cited as the Export of Pigs Act. The Minister may prohibit exporting pigs from Zambia, or part of Zambia, by statutory notice until export regulations have been complied with, and may later rescind that notice. The Minister may make regulations by statutory instrument to control pig exports from Zambia and set fees for proceedings under those regulations. Anyone who breaches regulations made under this Act commits an offence and may be fined up to 3,000 penalty units, jailed for up to 6 months, or both.
