Statute overview

About this statute

This section gives the Act its short title: Council of Law Reporting Act. This section defines “Council,” “ex officio member,” and “financial year,” with a special longer financial year for the Council starting 1 July 1969. This section creates the Council of Law Reporting as a body corporate. The section sets out who must be on the Council, who chairs it, how long members serve, the quorum, and that the Council controls its own procedure subject to the Act. The Council may organise and control reporting of court and tribunal decisions, arrange publication and distribution of the Zambia Law Reports, and help produce the University Law Review.
