Appropriation Act, 1981

1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act, 1981. Short titlo Appropria­ tion

2. (l) On the authority of a warrant issued by tho Pi·esident, there may be expended from the general revenues of the Republic such moneys, not exceeding in the aggrngate, eight• hundred and seventy million, one hundred and fifty-five thousand, two hundred and eleven kwacha, as may bo re­ quired for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending on the 31st December, 1981. (2) '!.'he moneys mentioned in subsection ( 1) shall be appro­ priated to the services of the Republic mentioned in the second colunm of the Schedule in amounts not ·exceeding the amounts indicated in the third column thereof. · (3) On the written authority of the P�rmanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, the amounts shown under tho sub-heads of the estimates may be varied: Provided- (i) the amounts appropriated to each Head shall not thereby be altered; and (ii) any of the amounts shown under Head 320 or 321 shall not be varied.
