Casino (.Amendment) [No. 4 of 1984 25 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA ACT No. 4 of 1984 Date of Assent: 13th March, 1984 An Act to amend the Casino Act [3oth March, 1984 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. (1) This Act may be cited a.s the Casino (Amendment) Act, 1984, and shall be read as one with the Casino Aot, here­ inafter referred to as the principal Act. (2) Thia Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 28th January, 1984. Enactment Short title and OOIDlileilOO• ment. Cap. 262 2. Section five of the principal Act is amended by the deletion of subsection (1) and the substitution therefor of the following subsection: Amendment of seotion IS ( 1) There shall be paid in respect of a casino licence an annual licence fee of K650 and the following additiona.l licence foes : (a) in respect of each year during the currency of the casino licence- (i) where one game only is specified in the casino licence, the sum of K2,000; (ii) where two or more games, not exceeding ten games, are specified in the casino licence, the sum of K2,000 for each game; and (iii) where the number of games specified in the casino licence is more than ten, the sum of K3,000 for ea.ch game in excess often. (b) in respect of each quarter-year during the currency of the casino licence-- (i) the sum of K500 for each table authorised under the casino licence for the playing of card games; Single copMB of thi8 A<:4 may be obtained from the Gowmmenl Prinur, P.O. Price 20n. 26 No. 4 of 1984) Casino (Amendment) (ii) the sum of K250 for each gaming ma.chine authorised to be operated under the casino licence; and (c) in respect of each quarter-year during the currency of the casino licence- (i) 10 per centum of such part of such gross revenue for such quarter-year as does not exceed Kl00,000; and (ii) 12 per centum of such pa.rt of such gross revenue as exceeds KI00,000 but does not exceed K300,000; a.nd (iii) 14 per centum of such part of such gross revenue as exceeds KS00,000 but does not exceed K700,000; and (iv) 15 per centum of such part of such gross revenue as exceeds K700,000.
