Appropriation Act, 1985

1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation Act, l 985.

2. (I) On the authority of a warrant issued by the President, there may be expended from the general revenues of the Republic such moneys, not exceeding in the aggregate one thousand two hundred and forty million, five hundred and ninety-one thousan<'I and seventy-nine kwacha, as may be required for the services of the Republic during the financial year ending on the 31st December, 1985. (2) The moneys mentioned in subsection (l) Rhall be appro­ priated to the services uf the Republic mentioned in the �econd <'olumn of the Schedulf' in amounts not exct:eding the amounts indicated in the third column thereof. (3) On the written authority of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance. the amounts shown under the sub-heads of the estimates may be varied: Provided that- (i) the amounts appropriated to each Head shall not thereby be altered; and (ii) any oftbe a.mounts shown under Head 320 or 321 shall not be varied . .Clifl(Jle oopilUI of this Act may be obtained from the Government Printer, P.O.
