§ 1(1) This Act may be cited as the Air Passenger ServiceShort title

This section gives the Act its short title and says it is to be read together with the principal Act; it also states a deemed commencement date.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Air Passenger Service Charge (Amendment) Act, 1987, and shall be read as one with the Air Passenger Service Charge Act, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act. (2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 31st January, 1987. Enaotment Short title und commonco ment, Cap. 747

Section three of the prirrcipal Act is amended in sub- section ( 1 )- Amendment of section 3 (a) by the deletion of "twenty kwacha" and the sub stitution therefor of " ten United States dollars its equivalent i n any convertible currency " ; or and (b) by the deletion of" five kwacha " and the substitution therefor of" twenty kwacha ". (c) by the addition of the following proviso: Provided that a passenger for a destination outside Zambia w ho is a national or resident of Zambia may pay the equivalent of the charge in kwacha. Single copies of this Act may bo obtained from the Government Printer, P.O. Boz 301361 Lusaka. PrUJo 20n. •
