This section replaces subsection (3) of section eight and says an officer or probationer must not contribute if the contribution would cover a period starting after the person turns 45.

Section eight of the principal Act is amended by the repeal of subsection (3) and the substitution therefor of the following subsection: Amendment of seotlon 6 Amendment of seotlou 7A Amendment ofsecdon 8 (3) If the initial contribution of an officer or probationer would be in respect of a period commencing after the officer has attained the age of forty-five years, the officer or pro bationer shall not contribute.
