Presidential Emoluments (Amendment) Act, 1994

(1) This Act may be cited as the Presidential Emolumems

This section gives the short title of the Act, says it is to be read together with the principal Act, and states that it starts on 1 January 1995.

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Presidential Emolumems (Amendment) Act, 1994, and shall be read as one with the Presidential Emolumems Act, 1981, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act. (2) This Act shall come into operation on the 1st day of January, 1995.

The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section rwo

This provision repeals section rwo of the principal Act and replaces it with a new section.

2. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section rwo and the substitution therefor of the following new section:

The President shall be paid

The President must be paid an annual salary and a special annual allowance.

2. The President shall be paid- ( a) a salary calculated at the annual rate of K3,918,595; and (b) a special annual allowance of K2,771,220.
