Sul!,plement to the Republic e[Zambia Government Gazette dated the 24th April, 1998 37 [No. 4 of 1998 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA ACT No.4 of1998 Date of Assent: 21st April, 1998 An Act to amend the Bank.of Zambia Act [24th April, 1998 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Bank of Zambia (Amend­ ment) Act, 1998, and shall be read as one with the Bank of Zambia Act, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. (2) This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the 31st January, 1998. 2. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of sectionftfty­ six and the substitution thereof of the following: 56. The Bank shall be exempt from the payment of any taxes levied under the Income Tax Act in respect of its profits, operations, capital, property or documents or any transaction, deed, agreement or promissory note to which it is a party.
