About this statute

This section gives the Act its short title and says it is to be read together with the principal Act; it is also treated as having come into operation on 31 January 1998. This section amends the First Schedule to the principal Act by adding two new items: goods in transit through Zambia and goods temporarily imported into Zambia. This provision concerns goods exported from Zambia for repair and return, where a customs certificate has been issued. The principal Act is amended by repealing the Second Schedule and replacing it with a new Second Schedule in the Appendix. Section 3A of the principal Act is repealed from 1 July 1998.
