“Section 2 of the principal Act is repealed and replaced with a new section.”

Section 2 of the principal Act is repealed and replaced with a new section. The President is to be paid a salary and a special annual allowance, with different salary rates before and from 1 April 2006. This provision amends section three of the principal Act by replacing "twenty-five per centum" with "one hundred per centum." This provision repeals subsection (1) of section 2 of the principal Act, and says single copies of the Act may be obtained from the Government Printer for K500 each.

(2) The President shall, with effect from 1st April,2006, be paid- (a) a salary calculated at the annual rate of Kl23,028,500.00; and (b) a special annual allowance ofK44,373,864.00.
