2. The Second Schedule to the principal Act is amended by the deletion in the Fee Unit Column opposite item 4 (h) of the number" 1000" and the substitution therefor ofthenumber" 8400 ".

3. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section thirty- seven and the substitution therefor of the following:

37. (1) A licensingofficer shallnotissueorrenew amotor vehicle or trailer licence unless- ( a) the officer is satisfied that the motor vehicle or trailer has been registered and does notdifferin anyrespect from the particulars in the register; and (b) in the case ofa motor vehicle, there is produced to the officer a valid carbon emission tax certificate, issued in respect of the motor vehicle by the Commissioner­ General or an agent duly appointed by the Commissioner-General under the Customs and ExciseAct.
