This section adds a definition of “industrial park” as any area or premises in Zambia declared to be an industrial park under section 18. This provision amends section 5 of the principal Act, including changes that add industrial parks alongside multi-facility economic zones and replace two paragraphs with new text. This provision amends section 18 to include industrial parks and sets out what a statutory instrument must cover for multi-facility economic zones and industrial parks. Certain specified businesses can import or acquire machinery or equipment without paying duties under the Customs and Excise Act. This section amends Section six1y of the principal Act by replacing “Commissioner-General” with “Minister responsible for finance”.
