About this statute

People who worked for the former Commission before commencement keep their status and are treated as having continuous service. After commencement, the former Commission’s assets, rights, liabilities, and obligations transfer to the Commission, and the registration authority must record the transfer where registration is required. Pending proceedings and certain claims involving the former Commission may continue or be started by or against the Commission after commencement.
