Competition and Consumer Protection (Amendment) [No. 9 of 2013 279 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA ACT No. 9 of 2013 Date of Assent: 13th December, 2013 An Act to amend the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 2010. [ 19th December, 2013 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. (I) This Act may be cited as the Competition and Consumer Protection (Amendment) Act, 2013, and shall be read as one with the Competition and Consumer Protection Act, 20 l 0, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. (2) This Act shall come into operation on l st January, 2014. 2. The First Schedule to the principal Act is amended in paragraph I O by the- (a) deletion_in clause (b) of sub-paragraph (I) of the word "fees"; (b) insertion, immediately after sub-paragraph (2), of the following new sub-paragraph: (3) The fees charged and collected for services provided by the Commission shall form [W1 of the · general revenues of the Republic.; and (c) re-numbering of.sub-paragraphs (3) and (4) as sub­ paragraphs (4) and (5), respectively.
