Medical Stores Limited is continued under this Act and renamed as the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency, which has corporate powers under the Act. The Agency’s seal is determined by the Agency, kept by the Secretary, and certain people may authenticate or use it without seal in some cases. The Agency must manage medicines and medical supplies, including procurement, storage, distribution, reporting, quality assurance, and advice to the Minister. This section sets out how the Agency’s Board is formed, who appoints or nominates members, and who is barred from being nominated or appointed. The Board is the Agency’s governing body and must carry out listed management, approval, oversight, and advisory functions.

Section 3
The Board may create committees, delegate functions to them, appoint committee members, and committees may set their own procedure, subject to the Board’s directions.
Section 11
This section establishes the Medicines and Medical Supplies Fund to support procurement of medicines and medical supplies for public health facilities.
Section 18
The Agency must submit an annual report to the Minister within 90 days after each financial year, and the Minister must table it before the National Assembly within 7 days after its next sitting.
Section 25
The Agency may continue pending legal proceedings or applications involving the Company, and may start proceedings after the appointed date for rights, liabilities, or obligations tied to the Company.
