This section gives the Act its short title and says it starts on a date appointed by the Minister by statutory instrument. This section defines terms used in the Act, including cyber-related and child-sexual-offence terms. A person must not intentionally and without lawful authority interfere with another person’s data or computer system in the listed ways.
