Animal Health (Amendment) [No. 7 of 2025 127 GOVERNMENT OF ZAMBIA ACT No. 7 of 2025 Date of Assent: 8th August, 2025 An Act to amend the Animal Health Act, 2010. [19th August, 2025 ENACTED by the Parliament of Zambia. 1. This Act may be cited as the Animal Health (Amendment ) Act, 2025 and shall be read as one with the Animal Health Act, 2010, in this Act referred to as the principal Act. 2. Section 2 of the principal Act is amended by the insertion of the following new definition in the appropriate place in alphabetical order: “traceability” has the meaning assigned to the word in the Animal Identification and Traceability Act, 2024. 3. The principal Act is amended by the repeal of section 21 and the substitution therefor of the following: 21. The Director shall use the animal identification and traceability system managed under the Animal Identification and Traceability Act, 2024 for the purposes of— (a) disease control; and (b) identification and traceability of animal, animal product and animal by-product.
