About this statute

The provision sets ETF pricing and operating rules: creation units are redeemed at NAV, dividends offer cash or CIP options, arbitrage must be maintained, and at least 90% of ETF assets stay in component securities subject to stated conditions. The ETF must maintain proper levels of cash and cash equivalents. ETFs must keep a public website and update specified fund and index information daily. This text refers to the identities and weightings of the components, and the number and type of securities comprising a creation unit. An ETF must disclose on its website certain information about the relationship between index performance, NAV, and market prices of shares or units.
