About this statute
These regulations may be cited as the Factories (Plant Inspection and Examination Fees) Regulations, 1992. These Regulations apply to factories, building operations, and works of engineering construction. If a boiler, steam receiver, or air receiver is inspected or examined by an inspector or someone authorised by the Commissioner, the appropriate fee for that inspection or examination must be paid. Before inspecting or examining certain boilers or receivers, notice must be sent by registered letter giving the date and time, at least 10 days in advance. If an inspection is delayed because the owner, user, or occupier does not cooperate, a surcharge is added to the inspection fee, and the inspector must issue an Inspection Report with a NIL maximum permissible pressure entry if the inspection cannot be carried out.
