1. These RegulatiJas may be citeu. as the Factories (Plant Inspection and Exarninn.tion Feos) Regulations, 1992. Title

2. These Regulations shall apply t::> factories, building operations and works of ongineoring construction.

3. When anv stoa.m boiler, stoam receiver or air receiver is inspected or e';camined by any in.specter or other person .authorised b.17 the CommiRsioner, the appropriate fee specified in Part I nnd Part II of the Schellulo to the Regulations shall ho paid in respect of each inspection or examination.

4. When any ste'.1m boiler, steam receiver or air receiver iR due for inspe�tion or oxamin1.tion by an inspector or any porson authorised hv the Commissioner, tho owner or user of any sud1, ess<'I or the o, ·<·11pier of tho promisos in which such vessol is ui,od shn,ll be n ,tifie 1 by a regi.'lterod letter of the date and time whon such inspe ·tion or examination shall be carried out and anv such l,ttor shall be fle11t to the owner, user or occupier, as· the caiso may be, at lea,st ten days before the proposed date of imipo'tion .

5. Whore an inspe t'lr or any person authorised by the Commissio.nor has anan�ocl to inspeet or examine a plant on a. date and at a time speci[ed in a re1:h,toro<l luttor but is unable to carry ont the insper•ti,m or oxumination at tho prescribed time bocauw of la-<:k of wopr..ration on the pa.rt of the owner, user or occupier, fm,·h o·\·ner, usor or occupior shitll be liable to the following surchargo:-1: ,vhero propa:rations can t,e made to allow the plant to bo inspe, ted or ex;t nineJ within one hour of the pre3cribe<l t;mc, a sunfoir;..e of K:!00.00 f>OI' hour or pro rafa fo1· part of an hour sh,1ll be iulded to the basic foo r hargoa,ble for tho i11spe tion or oxamination; Application Fees payable on inspoction of steam boiler, ateam receiver or air receiver Notification of intended inspection Surcharge payable whensteam boiler, otc, is not prepared for exami­ nation at a.specified time Copies of this S1a1111ory Tnstrumrnt can be obrained from the Government Printer, P.O. (b) where preparations cannot ue made to allow the inspection or examination to be carried out within one hour of the presrl'ibed time, a surcha1·ge equal to­ the basic fee shall be chargeable whether or not the inspection or examination is ca1Tied out immediately after tho expiry of one hom; or (c) where an inspection or examinu,tioH cannot be t·unied out for any reason whatsoever, the inspector :,;hall, in adrntion to the surcharge, issno an Inspection Report showing a ··NIL" entry against "Maximum Permissible Pressure" in respect of the team boiler, steam receiver or ail' 1eceiver to be inspected or examined an<l such Inspection Report shall remain in force until 1:rnch timo as further arrangements mm be made to inspect or examine such stoam boiler, 1,team receiver or air recofrer.
