1. These Regulations may be cited as the Information and Communication Technologies (Administration of Authority Regulations, 2015. Title

2. Part 1 of the First Schedule to the Act is amended— (a) in paragraph 1— Amendment of First Schedule (ii) by the deletion, in subparagraph (2), of the word “nine”; and (iii) by the deletion, in subparagraph (4), of the words “and the Secretary to the Board”; and (b) by the deletion of paragraph 8 and the substitution therefor of the following:

8. (1) The Board shall appoint, on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine, a suitably qualified and experienced person as Director-General who shall be the chief executive officer of the Authority and who, subject to the general or special direction of the Board, shall be responsible for the carrying out of the provisions of this Act. (3) The Secretary shall, under the general supervision of the Director-General, carry out corporate secretarial duties for the Board and perform such other functions of the Authority as my be assigned to the Secretary by the Director-General. (4) The Director-General may appoint, on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine, such other staff as are considered necessary for the performance of the functions of the Authority.
