About this statute
This section gives the short title of the Regulations. This section defines “controlled goods” as goods listed in the Schedule, or any class of those goods, that are prohibited, restricted, or otherwise controlled by an order under regulation 3. The Minister may make orders controlling imports and exports of specified goods, and the order may let a prescribed person issue, condition, or revoke permits for controlled goods. A person who contravenes these Regulations or an order under them commits an offence and may be fined, imprisoned, or both; the court may also order forfeiture of the goods involved.
