Defence (Regular Forces) (Officers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Defence (Regular Forces) (Officers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2019, and shall be read as one with the Defence (Regular Forces) (Officers) Regulations, in these Regulations referred to as the principal Regulations. Title Cap. 106

2. Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is amended by the insertion of the following new subregultion immediately after subregulation( 4): Amendment ofregulation 8 (5) An aircrew officer who resigns from employment in the Regular Force is liable to pay to the Government the total sum of the monies paid by the Government for that aircrew officer's training from ground school to the date of that aircrew officer's resignation.

3. Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by the- (a) insertion of the following new subregulation immediately after subregulation ( l ): Amendment ofregulation 9 (2) Despite subregulation ( l ) in relation to the length of service required before a pem1anent service officer may retire from employment, in the Regular Force but subject to the other provisions of this regulation, a pem1anent service officer who is an aircrew officer and whose pensionable service amounts to not less than twenty years may retire from employment in the Reglar Force; Copies of this Statutory Instrument can be obtained from the Government Printer.
