This section changes the boundaries of National Forest No. P. 47: Kasama by removing the old boundary description and replacing it with the one in the Schedule.

2. The boundaries of the National Forest No. P. 47: Kasama as described in the Schedule to the Forests (National Forest No. P.17) (Declaration) Order, 1954, are altered by the deletion of existing boundary description and the substitution therefor of the boundary description specified in the Schedule.

Price K 4.00 each. 4 Statutory Instruments 8th January, 2021 SCHEDULE (Paragraph 2) Block 1 THE NATIONAL FOREST NO. P. 47: KASAMA Starting at beacon 3 on the RD30 road, the boundary proceeds north-eastwards on a bearing of 32 degrees for a distance of 4,777 metres to beacon 4; thence on a bearing of 102 degrees for a distance of 2,615 metres to beacon BM5, the western corner of Milima Prison and Farm; thence in a general south-easterly direction along the south-western boundary of this farm for a distance of 1,645 metres through to beacon BM6 and 5 on the edge of M1 road (Kasama-Mbala Road); thence the boundary follows the western edge of this road for a distance of 5,285 metres to beacon WM1 through beacon 6; thence on a bearing of 133 degrees for a distance of 240 metres to beacon WM2; thence on a bearing of 219 for a distance of 244 metres to beacon WM3; thence on a bearing of 309 degrees for a distance of 370 metres to beacon D; thence on a bearing of 215 for a distance of 220 metres to beacon E; thence on a bearing of 305 degrees for a distance of 1,000 metres to beacon BM1; thence on a bearing of 278 degrees for a distance of 730 metres to beacon BM2; thence on a bearing of 236 degrees for a distance of 160 metres to beacon BM3 on the eastern edge of the RD30 road; thence in a north-westerly direction along this road for a distance of 1,282 metres to beacon 3, the point of starting. Block 2 Starting at beacon HRT45 on the edge of the railway line, the boundary proceeds north- eastwards on a bearing of 45 degrees for a distance of 1,807 metres to beacon 13 through beacon 14; thence on a bearing of 315 degrees for a distance of 408 metres to a point on the edge of the railway line; thence the boundary follows the railway in an easterly direction for a distance of 2,565 metres to a point on the edge of the railway line; thence in a south-easterly direction on a bearing of 150 degrees for a distance of 1,704 metres to a point on the western bank of the Milima River; thence upstream along the western bank of this stream for a distance of 1,345 metres to its source; thence on a bearing of 196 degrees for a distance of 570 metres to a point on the edge of the D18 road (Kasama-Mbesuma Road); thence along the northern edge of this road for a distance of 3,000 metres to beacon WM4 on the edge of the motorable road; thence in a northerly direction along this motorable road for a distance of 570 to beacon WM5; thence along this motorable road in a general north-westerly direction for a distance of 380 metres to beacon HRT46; thence in a westerly direction on a bearing of 270 degrees for a distance of 780 metres to beacon HTR45, the point of starting. All bearings are from True North and all distances are approximate. The above described areas, in extent 2,776 hectares approximately, is shown bordered green on Plan No. FR 92/5, deposited in the Office of the Surveyor-General, signed by the Surveyor-General and dated 20th August, 2020.
