Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2022

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2022. Title

2. A candidate for election as a Mayor or Councillor or in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall lodge a nomination with the Returning Officer on Tuesday, 22nd March, 2022, between 0900 hours and 1500 hours.

3. The campaign period shall commence on Tuesday, 22nd March, 2022, at 1500 hours and close at 1800 hours on Wednesday, 13th April, 2022.

4. (1) The poll for the election of a Mayor or Councillor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall take place on Thursday, 14th April, 2022, between 0600 hours and 1800 hours. (2) A poll shall not be taken in a district and ward if only one candidate is validly nominated.

5. The Electoral process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2022, is revoked.
