Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2023

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2023. Title

2. A Candidate for election as a Councillor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall lodge a nomination with the Returning Officer on Thursday, 7th September, 2023, between 0900 hours and 1500 hours.

3. The campaign period shall commence on Friday, 8th September, 2023 at 1400 hours and close at 1800 hours on Wednesday, 11th October, 2023. Date and time of nomination for election Campaign period

4. (1) A poll for the election of Councilor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall take place on Thursday, 12th October, 2023 between 0600 hours and 1800 hours. Election date and time of poll (2) A poll shall not be taken in a district and ward if only one candidate is validly nominated.
