Electoral Process (Local Government By Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2024

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Process (Local Government By Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2024. Title

2. A candidate for election as a Councillor nomination for in the wards set out in the schedule shall lodge a nomination election with the returning officer on Thursday, 1st February, 2024 between 09:00 hours and 15:00 hours.

3. The campaign period shall commence on Friday, 2nd February, 2024 at 14:00 hours and close at 18:00 hours on Thursday, 29th February, 2024. Date and Time of nomination for election Campaign Period

4. (1) The poll for the election of a Councilor in the wards set out in the schedule shall take place on Friday, 1st March, 2024 between 06:00 hours and 18:00 hours. Election date and time of poll (2) A poll shall not be taken in a district or ward if only one candidate is validly nominated.
