Electoral Process (Local Government By-elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2024

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Process (Local Government By Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) Order, 2024. Title

2. A candidate for election as a Councillor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall lodge a nomination with the Returning Officer on Tuesday, 11th June, 2024 between 0900 hours and 1500 hours. Date and time of nomination for election

3. The campaign period shall commence on Wednesday, 12th June, 2024 at 1400 hours and close at 1800 hours on Thursday, 11th July, 2024. Campaign period

4. (1) The poll for the election of a Councilor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall take place on Friday, 12th July, 2024 between 0600 hours and 1800 hours. Election date and time of poll (2) A poll shall not be taken in a district or ward if only one candidate is validly nominated.
