Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) (No. 2) Order, 2024

1. This Order may be cited as the Electoral Process (Local Government By-Elections) (Election Date and Time of Poll) (No. 2) Order, 2024. Title

2. A candidate for election as a Councillor in a district and ward set out in the Schedule shall lodge a nomination with the Returning Officer on Thursday, 18th, January, 2024 between 09:00 hours and 15:00 hours.

3. The campaign period shall commence on Friday, 19th January, 2024 at 14:00 hours and close at 18:00 hours on Wednesday, 14th February, 2024.

4. (1) The poll for the election of a Councilor in a district and ward set out in the schedule shall take place on Thursday, 15th February, 2024 between 06:00 hours and 18:00 hours. (2) A poll shall not be taken in a district or ward if only one candidate is validly nominated.
